Berserk

Risen from slumber by ringing of blades,
Confusion sets in, I know not where I am!
Strange fates I am tied to... for reasons unknown,
And lo, tis the harbinger of death and destruction!
And how I do weep, knowing the end is so near,
But spurred onwards by something not fear...
Not courage...
Not arrogance...
Not love...
But the raging inferno known only as hate!
This strange being... not fit to this plot...
How I despise it and wish for its death!
So onwards I charge! Solely blood on my mind!
And I thrust with the fury of a thousand lost souls...
Beneath my fatal drive it falls...
But the face of my friend is revealed.

Athens and Sparta All Over Again

From the chaos arose a man of great power
Such power he held, that the chaos congealed
And gave birth to the world as we know it.

Millenia later, when most knowledge was lost,
And the reign of the church was supreme,
Great rifts opened up in most systems of thought
And into the chasm of evolution we fell.

Now, step away from our world, and into another
You have no place in the void--just yet.
We see here great continents, teeming with life,
Astra, rife with the cries of a thousand slaughtered,
Belguard, consumed by demons of flame,
and wee Delithos, unknown to the world.

But pay them no heed, our focus is Astra.
The empire of Axium, a repeat of Athens,
and El-Tracass, the mirror of Sparta.

Watch as a torrent of blood stains all,
Hear the wailing of a million lost souls,
Know now the true horrors of war.

Sonnet Project

Why must wailing widows weep for lost love?
Why must war well up when peace can abound?
Too many questions can easily confound.
Is there a truth to be found above?
Dear sweet God this is really hard, umh, glove?
An Empyrean exists to be found?
Is life but an illusion? Texture? Sound?
At the very end, is it worth a shove?

The truth is, war is what drives us onwards.
The will to draw blood, the core driving force
That represents all humanity
The truth, I know, is unnervingly coarse.
The perpetual struggle for rewards,
Will end with us losing our sanity.

The Horror of War

Passing through the land of death and wailing souls
One's soul is crushed and doomed to nevermore.

Rainy Day

As the heavens weep for a million lost,
The earth, fair earth, Mother Earth, sunders and bleeds,
Bleeds as if it were a man felled by blade.
And as it bleeds, a fell stench pervades all,
'Tis Nothing so bad as the stench of death -
Far worse! Such a godless stench it is!
Festering wounds spew forth this godless stench,
And with it they spew forth a burning death.
This burning death spreads out and covers all,
Precisely akin to horrible war.

Crimson Tides

O vile, violent, bloody, despicable war!
All I love swept away on your red tides!
My country, my king, and my very life!
Accursed distraction of the mighty!
We, the mere pawns, why must we pay with our lives?
HORROR AND DEATH! ENDLESS CRIMSON TIDES!
