Funnily enough, MAIET just released a patch a day after our April Fools patch. Reportedly by Isa, the patch deals with an XTrap update to take care of some errors.

Apparently to celebrate April 1st, MAIET has just released the largest patch GunZ has seen since its original release.

Included in the patch:

- All NAT Firewall bugs have been fixed
- Realistic graphics and real physics
- The "k-style" bug has officially been patched
- Katanas have been removed and all daggers' reaches have been extended by 10x.

Hey everyone,

Since I was off being busy during the 2,000,000th post, I'd like to host a little contest.

Anyone is invited to post up a piece of fan art, must involve gzf. Involving gunz is optional but could be a plus. The top 4 pieces will go on the main site in a news article. All of the others submitted will posted up in a new thread and linked on in the news article.

As you may have already noticed, the forums now have two new links on the top navigation bar.

Downloads:

The download section enables you to upload images and replays in an organized manner. This way, we can track views, rating, and comments all in one place without having to worry about attachments or having popular downloads getting buried with time. Members can upload up to 20 megabytes worth of images and replays and gold members/moderators/admins can upload up to 100 megabytes. We'd like to have a huge upload folder for everyone, but with 60k members, we'd fill up our hard drives pretty fast.

Video:

The video link on the top nav displays the new video section. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a fantastic targeting method that would treat all gunz videos equally (instead of just showing one), so I opted to put in the new YouTube Video Player and let you all find videos on your own. I tried targeting "gunz" as a keyword, but it seems that YouTube's targeting system is a bit weak and currently we're just getting shown general video game videos. That being said, I'll keep an eye out for a better vbulletin video system that utilizes YouTube, where most of our videos are located.

We're going to be moving to a new server since the new traffic numbers are having a hayday with our sql server. The new one is going to be crazy fast and should handle a bit more traffic. Anywho, expect a few hours of downtime while we move.
